On December 4 1877, the phonograph was invented. This machine allowed people to listen to phonograph records. How do you think listening to these records was different than listening to today’s Cd's or mp3s? What may be the advantages and disadvantages of each type of machine?
Listening to phonograph records was different because you had to buy huge discs to play music and if you wanted to carry them out to a party you would have to take those huge things. They were different than listening to an mp3 or cd because, you can take an mp3 anywhere, whether its to a party sports event or anything. You can also take a cd almost everywhere, either your car, a friends house, and parties. The advantages of the phonograph was that it played loud music. The disadvantages of it was that you had to buy huge records to play them on the machine. The advantages of a mp3 is that you can take it anywhere, and is easier to carry around. The disadvantages are that you have to charge it before the battery dies.

On December 1, 1955, a black woman named Rosa Parks refused to give up her bus seat to a white man. This was a brave action by Parks. What is the bravest thing you have ever done? Be sure to include details about the event and why you think you were brave?
The bravest thing i have ever done was when i helped a female from getting jacked. It was a dark cold night, and i was hungry, so i decided to go to McDonald's to get something to eat. I put a sweater on got my money. It was about 8 in the night and almost all the streets were empty because of how cold it was. I was walking hearing music from my ipod when i see a little Honda Civic pass by me slowly, as if they were following me. I went inside the restaurant, and ordered. I then sat down by the window and noticed the car was parked outside in the dark where no other cars were parked by. I ignored it and waited for my order, meanwhile two girls had finished eating and were throwing the trash away my order was ready. The girls walked outside the door. I filled my soda up and then walked outside too. I heard some screaming and saw one of the girls run uncontrollably back inside the store. The other girl was trying to get jacked for her money and phone, when i just ran up to the guy and socked him in the temple as hard as i could and he stumbled back, giving the girl time to get up from the floor and run back inside the store also. I was a little scared he might have a gun, so i started running , and went in the store through the back door of McDonald's. The girls were panicked and i asked if they were okay, they responded and said yes thank for helping us. I sat down with them while one called her mom to pick them up. I asked them if i can have their number just in case, and they gave it to me. Besides being a brave thing i think it was a cool night because those girls were cute and i got there number.

What's the nicest thing anyone's ever done for you?

We decided to go to Burger King and get a pie, but we only had a dollar left because we had bought some chips on our way to BK. So the lady asked me if i was ready to order,and i said yes. She asked "What would you like?". I said. "A pie that's under a dollar". She asked me what kind of pie, and i asked for a Hershey's cookie pie. When i was about to give her the money, she said its okay, just leave it like that. So my friend and i shared a pie, that was freaking good. That was probably the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me.

If you live in Extreme cold or Extreme heat which would you prefer and why ?
I would prefer to live on Extreme Cold, because you can eat hot chocolate almost every day with bread, and the heater on warming the house. I would not like to live on Extreme heat because you can get dehydrated and you have to be getting hydrated almost every single hour. I would choose to live on extreme cold because you sleep better when your cozy and warm, and you dont feel the time go by. I would also prefer to live in the cold because when its hot you cant play any sport because its dangerous and you can get dehydrated like i said before. When its cold you can play sports because you can wear thermals underneath and you would be warm and wont feel the cold that much.

If you can change one thing in the world what would it be?
If i can change one thing in the world, it would be that algebra 2 wouldn't be so hard and that everybody didn't have to take it. I would change this because i think many people struggle with that class and that affects their resumei to go to college. I would also change this because many people give up on themselves and they don't want to go to school anymore, and then they drop out. If this class wouldn't be so hard many people would be graduating and many people in the United States would have careers. I also think that many students that have this class would be happy if they didn't have to take it, and it wouldn't affect their record. Another reason why i would change this is because some of the material in Algebra 2 isn't necessary and if the students don't get it and they fail that part then that affects them in their grade and in their GPA because they wont have the opportunity to go to the college they want.

I remember when. . .
I remember when i got hit in the eye while playing soccer. I remember it like if it was yesterday. I was playing soccer and we were down by a goal so my friend send me a pass, and i was running for the ball,when the ball was suddenly bounced on a hole and reached my head. I was about to header the ball when suddenly the guy from the other team tried kicking the ball, but by accident he kicked my eye. It hurted like a..... , but i didn't want to show that it hurted, because my coach was going to take me out of the game and i didn't want to let my team lose. I will never forget that scary experience because i thought i was going to go blind after that hard kick.

I were going to be stranded on a desert island, what 10 items would I want in my pockets? And Why?
If i was to be stranded on desert island, 10 things i would want in my pocket would be:Two water bottles, my ipod,A mechanical fan,batteries, some chips, a cell phone, my phone charger, ipod charger, tools to get fruit or food. I would want water bottles, because i would get dehydrated from walking around the whole island trying to look for people. I would get thirsty and drink a little bit of water, not a lot because then it would waste, but a little while i find a place to get fresh water. I would also want my ipod to hear music while i roam the island and wont be bored when i am alone in the night. I would play the apps in the ipod and get entertained.
I would also want to have a mechanical fan in my pocket because, if it gets too hot i could use the fan to refresh myself. If my batteries waste i would have the extra ones that were also in my pocket. That way i can be refreshed and have more energy for roaming the island. I would also want some chips because i would not like to eat animals that are in the island, and plus, i don't know how to cook. I would consider having a cell phone in my pocket because i could try to communicate with people across the island to send someone and help me,if they don't listen, i would say that i discovered a new island , so that way they can pick me up. You had four days off, tell me about them.
I had four days of because of thanksgiving. They were pretty cool and chill. The first day which was Thursday, i went to Walmart with my friend and his mom, and we bought a lot of things for his little sister and for us too. I spent like $10 on some things i needed. After that we went home and ate, after we ate we played some Ps3 for like about 3 hours and then we went to the store with his dad. After we got back they took me home and my mom had already made the food for later in the night. We waited for the family to come and then we did a little prayer, then we ate.
I ate a lot that day i was full but then later on i was even more hungry. On Friday my mom and i went to the mall to get some clothes since they had discount. We went early in the morning and got back home like around 6 in the afternoon. We bought a lot of clothes for me and her and my dad. On Saturday, it was my sisters birthday, so we had a little party for her. All of our family came and stayed over until late in the night. We ate and had games for the little kids to play. After that we cleaned up and we went to sleep. The next day which was Sunday, we woke up like around 10 in the morning , and ate. After we ate we took a shower and we took my little sister to my aunts house. We stayed there for a while, she had fun playing with my little cousin. I had fun too because my cousin and i played some Ps3. That's how my four day weekend was.

When was the last time you did something nice for someone? Why did you do it? did they appreciate it?
Last time i did something nice for someone was about a week ago. My cousins friend was coming over and we had decided before that we were going to go eat at Dominos pizza. When my cousin and his friend got there we got a ride to Dominos, and we were all going to pitch in $5, since we ordered a large pizza with two toppings. When we ordered the pizza, and the total was $20. When it came down to paying we asked him for his money and he said that his mom didnt have any money and she didnt give him none. So i thought that was messed up, that his mom didnt give him money so i put in extra $5 and we took the pizza home. When we got there he said,
"Thanks man i was hungry but i didnt want to tell you guys i didnt have money,because i felt embarrased". I told him that it was alright and that he shouldnt have worried about it. That was the last time i have done something nice for someone.

If you had unlimited funds and could buy anything you wanted what would you get and why? Would you buy anything for your friends and family? If so what would you get them and why?
If i had unlimited funds i would buy a new Ps3, some shoes, clothes, a haircut, food, games, new computer, and European car. I would buy a house for my mom and dad and would get them anything they wanted. I would probably get my cousins and aunts something like a fridge or t.v but that would be it. The rest of the money i would spent it and probably donate some to charity or something. Since my money wont waste i would probably consider buying the PlayStation company and the Sony company too. That's what i would do with my unlimited funds.

I met my closest friend at school. We had the same class and we sat next to each other in two periods. We didnt know each other at first and we didnt talk much for like the first two weeks, but after the second week we started talking about work, and then later on we go to know each other more. I asked her name and she said it was Michelle, so i introduced myself and ethen we started hanging out and getting to know each other more. We have been friends since like the 4th grade. What would have happened if you didn't leave the house this morning? Describe your day.
If i wouldnt have left my house this morning i would have stayed sleeping until 9 or 10. After that i would have played some ps2 for about two hours straight, and after that i would have ate something. Then later on i would have used my computer to search some videos on youtube and other important things like the things going on in NASA or something. After i did all that i would have gone out to get something to eat, and then go back home and wait for a good movie to start. Then finally my parents would come and i would have to go with them to the store or something. So my day would b e pretty active and unboring.

What do you sense you're supposed to do before your life is over??
Before life is over i sense that i must go to a university and make lots of money. I think that i have to go to a university and study for a carrer i want and make lots ofmoney for my children to enjoy when they are grown. I will enjoy it at first , but then after i have kids i will let them enjoy the money. But to do this i first have to study and get good grades to be able to accomplish my sense. I will start doing good in school and get involved in activities and stop hanging out with the wrong people. I will not do things i wish not to do and would not get pressured to do something bad.

What do you do on days that you get out early?
On the days that i get out early, i sometimes go eat, or sometimes i just go home and do my homework. I go to eat because i dont like the food they give in school so i just go to Mcdonalds or something and then i go home and do my homework. I do all my homkework on early days because my teachers give me a lot and i have to turn it all in by the next day, and so i dont wait until the night to do it. My goals for this semester is to try to get the "A". I have a "B" right now but my goal is to bring it up to an "A". My goals for this semester is also to pass all my classes with at least a "B" but if i can get the "A" it would be much better. I think that if iwant to get the grade i want i have to put more effort in my studies and do way better in tests and quizzes. Whats a good age to settle down?
Yes i think everyone should get married. Every body has the right to spend the rest of their life with who ever they want to be with. I think people should get married but some people think differently, and think that they should not get married. When a couple loves each other really much then that's when they decide they should get married and have kids to prove their love to each other.
I think that a good age to settle down is at 30. I think this because you can get to know more girls and and have more girlfriends meanwhile your in your 20's, because when you're 30 and over girls think its creepy if you try to pick up on them. I also think that between your 30's and 40's you could settle down because their are a lot of older women that are single and want a husband so then its not over until you finally meet someone you really like and want to be with the rest of your life

I think i deserve a "A" on this class. I think this because i do all my work and i havent missed any of the journals or lessons. I dont know about the past quizzes we had, but thats what probably is not getting me the grade i want. I think i deserve a A because i do all that i can to do my best and earn the grade i want. Most of the time i finish all my work before its due and every time i get checked for assignments they are complete and done with all the instructions that were given.

Describe your dream job.
My dream job is too work as a computer engineer. I want to make, fix and build computers. My dream job is also to make software and make new technological devices for example a new Playstation, the "PS5". My dream job would require time,but when you like something then the time goes by fast. I would like to have a dream job that you dont do anything and still get paid, but i would like to do that and make more money than the person that is doing nothing and is still getting paid. I would like to work with computers because they are the future and soon many people will be using computers more than they are now. Computers will be replacing many files used by the federal government and also papers filed in jobs.

I would like to work with computers because they are the future and soon many people will be using computers more than they are now. Computers will be replacing many files used by the federal government and also papers filed in jobs.

If you only could eat one thing the rest of your life what would it be and why?
If i could eat something for the rest of my life it would be Mickey D's Chicken Nuggets and a large Soda. I would eat this the rest of my life because they are bomb and they taste good when you dip them in ketchup or barbecue. When you get the chicken nuggets and you feel them they afre hot, but as you start to taste them you dont even care if theyre hot or cold. I would consider eating this the rest of my life because in a way they are kind of healthy. I would drink the coke so i wont get full very easily and i could have room for more.
When you think about it chicken nuggets are good when they are crunchy, warm, and are dipped in your favorite sauce. That is the reason why i would consider eating Mickey D's Chicken Nuggets for the rest of my life.

Do you have any tattoos? Would you get one? Two? Why or why not?
No i do not have any tatoos . No i wouldnt consider getting one because they look nasty after you get more than 2. If i wouldnt get at least one tatoo, then i wouldnt get 2. I wouldnt get a tatoo because ive read that it affects your blood and you cant donate blood anymore. I would not like to have my blood poisened and be able to donate blood, if one of my family members needs it. The reason i dont have tatoos is because they don't look good when you have them all colorful.
If its just the simple green then that makes the person look dirty, like if they never have not tooken a shower.

What is normal? Give examples. What is abnormal?
Normal to me is dressing properly with good clothes, clothes that makes you look good and presentable. Having one or more tatoos is normal, even up to 4. But hyaving more than 5 then thats just abnormal. Piercings are nor mal to me too because we see it almost every day in the streets with either girls or guys. For guys having one piercing or even up to 3 is alright but getting more than 3 is wrong, for example filling your whole ear with piercings, then thats just abnormal too. Now guys with gauges in their ears that widen them is not normal because it widens the ear.

To me this is abnormal because they dress different from others which is okay, but they dress awkward. They look like their ear is hanging when they use the gauges, and when they get their whole arm tatood they look dirty.

Yes, i am different from other people because many people have different ways to dress and some have different ways on how they do their hair. I like being different because it look much better than copying someone's style. I like to have my own style and not the same as many of the people all over the city, town, or state have. What was the highlight of your weekend? What was the low point?
The highlight of my weekend has been the massive rave i went to on Friday. It was good because many people from all over Southern California went and were busting their butts off dancing to beats the dj's played. The most known dj's were playing the whole night making the people remember this night.
The low point of my weekend was that i had too much homework for my algebra class, and i had to do it to bring my grade up. I had like 9 worksheets and 4 pages of bookwork, and they were all due on Monday. So i had to stay up late on Saturday and do it, and on Sunday i had to stay up until 10 to try to finish the work my teacher had left me.

What is the best costume you have ever worn? Would you where it again? why or why not? What is the best costume you ever seen? The worst?
The best costume i have ever worn has been Scream. I wore this when i was like 6 years old.I liked it because it had a little pump that if you squeezed it blood would flow through the mask. i thought it was pretty amuzing at the time, so thats why it has been the best costume i have ever worn. I guess i would wear it again if i ever found it, because i wouldnt want to buy it again.

I think what the police is doing is unfair. People should not be arrested if they are not doing anything bad. They should be arrested for commiting murder, stealing, and or violating the laws. Sagging is not a reason to get fined and or get locked up, if the person feels comfortable sagging then they should let it be because they are not going to change the way people are.
I think indescent is wearing the pants or shorts below the buttocks, descent is wearing the pants or shorts halfway the buttocks. No it doesnt depend on the occasion because they can do it anytime they want,either its at a party, bbq, or in the streets.

I think this was unfair because the lady has the right to wear whatever she wants at a party. Wearing jeans that were tight is not bad, or wearing a shirt that was too sheer, also a headscarf.Its against human rights to deny this to people. We all have the same rights and none should be treated differently.
When it comes to a party everyone has the right to dress however they want whether its tight jeans or not, different color shirts or plain shirts. Stay inside- I chose this because its the safest thing to do if buildings and trees are falling outside
2. In bed:
Stay in bed and protect your head with a pillow- I chose this because if you get up then things might be falling of the ceiling and it may hit you.
3. In any building:
Crouch in an inside corner away from the exterior wall- I chose this because if things are falling from the walls it wont fall in the corner.
4. On the upper floor of an apartment building:
Stay in an interior room under a desk or table- You have to take cover because if you take the elevator it might get stuck and you'll be in more danger.
5. Outdoors:

My day without electronic devices would be boring and i would feel frustrated. The only way i can concentrate to do homework is by hearing music, so if i wouldnt have my ipod or computer then i would feel frustrated and wouldnt do my homework right. Without a microwave i would also feel mad because i dont know how to cook and the only way i can eat is if use the microwave.
If there were no electricity for one day it would be, i dont know boring, frustrating, and annoying. It would be boring because you cant see t.v, cant browse the internet, and cant eat. It would be annoying because all the little kids would be outside yelling and screaming and crying.

What is the one thing in your life that you can't live without?
One thing i cant live without is my ipod. I cant live without it because it has mostly my life in it which is music.Without music i feel empty and believe it or not i cant do homework without hearing music. In my opinion i think Google can make someone smarter.I think this because everytime you want to find something out you just type it on the computer and then your answer comes out. For example if they want to find out on how to make chocolate cake they just go to a search engine like Google and they type something in like"How to make a chocolate cake"? and your question will be answered.If a person searches something, Google gives it a variety of websites that may contain the answer on the question or statement they want to find out. Google can make someone smarter but i think its on the person to either take the information or not.If Google gives it all these answers and the person doesnt believe it then it wasnt Google's fault the person didnt believe the information.

Is your house messy? Is it a problem?
My house is not messy and its not a problem for me to clean it every once a week. i try ton keep it clean because a dirty house can lead to filthy animals such as rats, roaches, mosquitos, and other nasty animals that can cause harm for you. As i read this topic pretty much of what it says is true. When its messy in a house bills get lost and sometimes you get charged double for not paying on time. When junk starts to build up its harmful for kids because they breath all the filthy air and that can cause severe disesases.
As junk starts to build up the house starts to smell, and animals start to form, bills get lost, and the kids start getting sick. Houses should be kept clean to avoid all this trouble because if people go inside your house its going to be embarrassing because of all the filth. To prevent this you should clean your house at least twice a week or every day just so filth wont build up and then you get lazy and dont clean it after a while.

Finish the story.
It was a cold and rainy day and i had to walk home from school.
It was raining so hard that the streets were full of water and everytime the cars passed through the intersections a lot of water would splash.I had to walk fast home so i wouldnt get wet a lot. As i was walking home it started to rain harderi realized i still had a long way home when the traffic light went bad. Only certain people could walk at a time and there was a lot of people waiting to cross the street. It took me about 10 minutes to cross the street,but i was all soaking wet already. As soon as i got to the corner of my street, it started to rain even harder, so thats when i decided to run home and get in the shower before i got sick.

By now, they were fully awake and when they looked around but they did not see their living room anymore. Instead, they saw themselves floating in a long tube with speeding chunks of alphabets, numbers, images, and sounds. They were INSIDE the computer! It was their dream come true and they decided to...?
They decided to surf the web. Dan and kim thought it would be a good idea to visit parts all over the world since they have only visited Chicago to see their grandma once.Dan and Kim both wanted to go to different places, so they flippde a coin and decided that who ever won got to choose where they would go first.Dan won the coin toss so he was first to choose where he wanted to go.So the first trip they made was to Spain, they saw many kids all over the country chatting and playing online games.
They even went to a gamer tournament where the best players from all over Spain competed against each other to see who was the best gamer of the whole country. The next trip was Kims turn but she decided she did not want totravelany more she had changed her mind,instead she wanted to see how it felt like to be in a real game where dragons and prince and bad people fought to kill and save the princess. In the game she decided to be the princess. The prince would be the boys he liked the most in school, and the dragon would be Dan since he really didnt like Kims crush. So the prince had to fight all the bad people and in the last level he had to fight the dragon. Since it was Kims game she made the prince stronger than the dragon and unfortunately the dragon died. Just as they were having fun and did not want to wake up, their mom suddenly yelled"Kids your going to be late for school!!". So they woke up and they both told each other their dream and they both thought it was weird and cool

Yeah i like the rain because it is not hot. Other days its so hot that you don't even want to be outside but when there is rain or its cloudy its better to go outside and do more stuff. I like to do stuff when its cold because it is better and you don't sweat.The rain also makes it better because i could eat hot chocolate and bread. I prefer the rain too because to me it makes me active.One of the reasons i like rain the most is because you can eat warm stuff like hot chocolate, bread and pancakes for dinner. That is one of the reasons why i like the rain the most. When its hot you cant go outside and enjoy yourself playing basketball or football, but when its cloudy or raining you play better, even though you have higher risks of getting your clothes stained.

If i could visit any part of the world i would visit Spain. I would visit spain because to me its one of the most coolest cities in the world. One of the things i like are the bull runs because you get to work to get condition and run with bulls chasing you.I also like the soccer teams there because they are like world class players and are one of a kind players.Mostly all the good players are in Spain.I would go for atleast 3 months,because it seems like not a lot of bad people live their.

My most significant accomplishment to date is winning the final with my soccer team. We keept trying every year to make it to the finals and this year we finally did and we were so determined to win that we put all our effort and we won the final. My talents mostly include sports because im not a type of person that likes to be sitting down watching TV. I prefer being active and playing soccer, basketball, football but as long as its a sport ill play it. I enjoy playing soccer and basketball, because its fun and very competitive. What are your thoughts about this article? Do you know of anybody that has regretted posting information online?
My thought about this article is that people should not post any pornographic pictures on the web and especially give out personal information. Before you post think, if you really want to post a picture or any thing that might harm you. If you are not sure you want to post a picture or something don’t do it because later on in the future you’re going to regret it and you cant do nothing about it because the information or picture is already around the whole world. No I do not know of anybody that has regretted posting something on the internet and then regretting it.

13) Do you care who got the Olympics in 2016. Why or why not?
I really don’t care who got the Olympics for the year 2016 because to me the competition is what matters the most. If any other country got the Olympics its okay because it’s not like Im going to go to the Olympic Games. I’d rather watch the games on TV and it will be the same experience to me. That’s why it doesn’t matter to me who got the Olympic Games for the year 2016. Even though it might be exciting for some, we can just stay home and watch the games eating food we like and wont have to waste any money.

Write your opinion on the article. Do you think it was fair? Why or why not?
My opinion on this article is that it wasn’t fair for the employee to get fired just because she sent emails in bold red capitol letters. I don’t think it was fair that the lady got fired even though she should have used lowercase letters and black font rather than a red font. The workers that complained thought she might be mad and screaming because she had all capitol letters and was using a red font. This was not fair because maybe the lady was trying emphasize the important details in the letter. The company blamed the lady that she was at fault, but the company apologized and that made it seem that the lady did not do anything wrong.

In my life I will use e-mail’s to communicate with people. I will also use it to fill out job applications and send them to other emails. The benefits of emails are that it makes it much easier for people to communicate with one another by sending the letter or anything they want to send by the network rather than through mail. Many people can use their emails to talk to friends in different parts of the world. Others use emails to take care of business. In my opinion I think it was pretty dumb for the burglar to login his face book account. It was dumb because he should have at least logged out to hide his identity, or leave no prove in the scene. The burglar made himself look dumb by forgetting to log out and now it makes him look like the worst burglar in town. Now if he faces charges and he denies it, police won’t believe him because all his information got saved on the computer.

If I could wake up with a special ability I would want it to be so that I can fly.I would like to fly because its cool and you can go anywhere without having to drive. What times and day would school be held? Why?
A perfect bell schedule for school would be from 7:30 to 8:30 first block. From 8:40 to 9:40 second block. From 10:00 to 11:30 lunch and that would be the school day. It would be held the whole year because students get stressed out a lot and need some time to rest and get their mind off school for a while.

7) What has been the most difficult thing in school so far?
The most difficult thing in school so far has been the tests and quizzes because I don’t like to study and I have to in order to get a good grade. It has been the most difficult thing so far because many tests are worth many points and if I fail then it affects my grade.I have to get all the work done in a short period of time and i need at least three days to get allthe work done, only if its a lot of work.

If I pay that much I still have to pay for books, materials, and tools needed for the class.
